Volunteer program
Learn about our corporate volunteering program where your employees can be personal gringos and team up with Brazilians seeking to improve skills in English.
Challenges for black women at the workplace
Black women are paid the lowest remuneration among all professionals at the workforce in Brazil. Improving English skills to qualify for higher paid jobs can accelerate the end of the salary gap.

Three steps to boost empathy and creativity
Whether your employees love their work or miss the joy they used to feel about it,
give it a chance to volunteering as a way to help them find reasons to renew vows
with their purpose in four steps:
Find a match
Meet a Brazilian partner and choose a sustainability issue
Connect through volunteering
Design a solution together using your preferred tools
Give feedback
Submit feedback for your partner's future growth
After a number of projects with different personal gringos, your Brazilian partner will get a summary of his competencies working in English to showcase his abilities to future employers.
The 100-hour rule of volunteering: giving energizes more and drains less.
"A hundred hours a year breaks down to just two hours a week. Research shows that if people start volunteering two hours a week, their happiness, satisfaction, and self-esteem go up a year later. Two hours a week in a fresh domain appears to be the sweet spot where people make a meaningful difference without being overwhelmed or sacrificing other priorities. It's also the range in which volunteering is most likely to strike a healthy balance, offering benefits to the volunteer as well as the recipients.
In a national study, several thousand Canadians reported the number of hours that they volunteered per year, and whether they gained new technical, social or organizational knowledge and skills from volunteering. For the first few hours a week, volunteers gained knowledge and skills at a consistent rate. By five hours a week, volunteering had diminishing returns: people were learning less and less with each additional hour. After eleven hours a week, additional time volunteered no longer added new knowledge and skills."
